Unfortunately, since last year, I found myself in a bad situation with one employee of mine. Everything started when some important habitual sponsors of the journal began to resign their contracts or didn’t renew the expired ones. In a very short time I discovered that all these companies were signing sponsorship agreements with a new online journal, about the same topics of mine, which appeared in my same target market not earlier than a couple of months before of the beginning of those the resignations.
You can imagine my disappointment: how happened that an experienced redaction skilled and well established in his business area, with a long history of editorial successes and awards, was challenged so hardly by a new entry without any particular credit or worth?
I began to daily follow the new online journal to discover which could have been the reason of their unexpected success. Whit my huge surprise I had to admit that this journal was really good: completely updated every day with high quality posts, lots of very interesting news and a creative and catchy shape.
I felt like the only thing that I could do was to simply admit to have been defeated by an opponent who showed to be just better than me.
But when I paid more attention to all the posts and the articles of the new journal, I found out something really strange and improbable: all the posts were signed just with the phrase “by the redaction”. This is not really possible in an environment that is full of competition among writers and journalists; I have enough experience as editor to say that any author able to create articles of this level simply needs to put his real name under the post to claim his merits and try to gain the popularity he deserves.
The situation was so strange that everything couldn’t just be a coincidence, so I started to consider to hire a detective; after a short research on the internet I found this private investigation article that really helped me to make the right choice and find the solution of this enigma.

I started a trial against him and luckily it doesn’t take much time for the judge to find him guilty and condemn him to refund my losses and close his journal.
